The Sweet Pea gals are not your average goats. Jenna attends the birth of each one and bottle feeds those that become a part of the future milking team. Hers is the first human voice and touch that they experience, and it establishes a foundation of trust that is unique within this herd. Every single animal has a name, and each is an important member of the caprine community that informs every single thing we do on the ranch. Living in a dry, cool climate, we are very picky about our skincare. It has to work hard and be effective, so we developed recipes that actually work. But the main reason the soap and body butters are so deeply moisturizing is because they are packed full of our luxuriously decadent goat milk. The rich diet this ranch provides the goats translates into milk that is abundant with the fats, proteins, vitamins and minerals so beneficial to human skin.

And it helps that the goats producing the milk are so absurdly happy. Our herd consists of approximately thirty goats and this year, the milk in your Daily Milk products comes from Penny Lane, her daughter Martha my Dear along with Queen Sheba and her niece, Miss Violet.

Although there are many goats, the connections between each girl run deep and the stories of their births and lives that span our time on this ranch and our roots in Texas could fill a very amusing book. The relationship between our family and the goats is the reason for every single decision made over the past (nearly) two decades! And the ritual of milking these goats - daily - has become a fundamental, essential part of our universe. We are lucky to share our lives with these animals and feel even luckier to share them with you.
